Psychedelics can trigger non-ordinary states of consciousness (known as psychedelic experiences or “trips”). This causes specific psychological, visual, and auditory changes, and often a substantially altered state of consciousness.

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: These plants and compounds are illegal in many countries, and even possession can carry severe criminal penalties. None of this post constitutes medical advice or should be construed as a recommendation to use psychedelics. There are serious legal, psychological, and physical risks. Psychedelics are not for everyone—they can exacerbate certain emotional problems and there have been, in very rare cases, fatalities.

Sacred Earth Collective strives to educate the public and create cultural understanding and legitimacy regarding plant medicines so that they may cease to be stigmatized and outlawed. We also promote a bridge between the world of plant medicines and the emergent field of psychedelic science, between “traditional ceremonial use” and clinical and therapeutic settings, bringing the knowledge and perspectives of the social sciences to health care professionals and practitioners of psychedelic-assisted therapy.

Plant medicine journeys have great potential when mixed with the right intention, and the proper timing. They are not a default solution for our difficulties or a remedy for diseases. Everyone’s actual experience will be wildly different. You have to trust your own voice of wisdom and calling to the task. There are many places that offer work with plant medicine, and while some of them are doing great work, others are not carrying the same integrity and can be dangerous.

We offer education about certain psychedelics including: Cannabis, Psilocybin, Ayahuasca and San Pedro. In ceremony, other plant medicines are often incorporated such as Cacao, Hapé, and Sananga, however these are no psychoactive, rather provide many health benefits and expanded awareness.
